Diesel Particulate Filter Adjustment - Cairns remapping

Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is a device designed to remove diesel particulate matter or soot from the exhaust gas of a diesel engine.

The three part system consisting of a filter, a monitoring system and a maintenance system work together to ensure that the whole DPF system is in proper working condition.

The problem with adding a Diesel Particulate Filter is that it is inevitable that DPF filters will clog up over time in diesel operated vehicles (clocking of the filtered particles), although manufacturers claim this will take a long time, adjusting them will generally reduce more issues then they are designed to fix and greatly increase your cars performance and horsepower. This is a great way of providing Cairns diesel tuning at a low cost.

Particulate filters have been in use on and in automobiles since 1985, Diesel engines during combustion of the fuel/air mix produce a variety of particles generically classified as diesel particulate matter due to incomplete combustion. The composition of the particles varies widely dependent upon engine type, age, and the emissions specification that the engine was designed to meet.

DPFs are used by a number of vehicle manufacturers to reduce the amount of harmful particles released from their modern diesel vehicles.
While in Europe and particularly ASIA fitted DPF are not explicitly mandatory they are fitted as a standard to meet emissions standards issued since 2009. Requirements and regulations vary for non European countries and in most cases DPF software can be modified oradjusted for vehicles driven in Australia and as part of our Cairns diesel tuning we can adjust these and increase your vehicle horsepower and torque output.

Although DPFs are extremely effective in most situations, they are not suitable for drivers who do not have the opportunity to drive their vehicle at over 80km/h on a fairly regular basis.

AdBlue Removal

AdBlue is a fluid (made from Urea and purified water) that is injected into the exhaust gasses, cleaning the exhaust gasses before they enter the atmosphere, essentially cleansing and reducing harmful emissions.
